Job Description
Cougar Fuels is currently looking for an HS&E Advisor for our Taiganova Office. This position shall ensure that identified health, safety, environment, and security requirements are implemented in all work areas. This position reports directly to the EH&S Manager and will work a Monday to Friday schedule.
Key Accountabilities
· Develop and implement safety, procedures, and policies for operations
· Monitor work processes and procedures to identify unsafe practices or breach of safety regulations and provide assistance in the implementation of the HS&E Project, Execution Plan for the work site
· Work closely with the Management Team on implementation of health and safety policies & procedures
· Liaise with the EH&S Manager on core team resource requirements (people, major equipment, etc.)
· Conduct HSE Orientation to groups of employees/managers
· Reporting of all incidents and Near Miss incidents by all site personnel
· Ensure training & compliance is update for all workers.
· Upload safety certificates in our safety sync database
· Continuously monitor the work environment
· Communicates appropriate HS&E related information on an accurate and timely basis to the work force
· Support or leads hazard identification exercises
· Participates in regular HS&E meetings and discuss HS&E concerns and actions
· Assist supervision and management in conducting incident investigations
· Encourage overall hazard identification and reporting as well as immediate investigating/recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of worker’s health concerns
· Undertaking risk assessments and site inspections to identifying potential hazards
· Collaborate with law enforcement agents and OH&S investigators to address cases of workplace accident
· Conduct risk assessments to identify work areas with high risk and determine the ways of reducing risks
· Keep up to date and ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation
· Other duties assigned
Education and Experience
· Must have 2-3 years’ experience in environment, health and safety.
· NCSO/OH&S preferred
Skills and Knowledge
· Must be willing and able to work in a team environment· Must be flexible and willing to work alternative work hours· Must be willing to travel to various work sites· Strong analytic skills· Strong written and verbal communication
