Job Description
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, performance, and profitability of the site. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Accountabilities
1. Operational Management
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, including cardlocks and bulk fuel fleet
· Ensure efficient inventory management of petroleum products, lubricants, and retail merchandise
· Monitor and maintain accurate fuel stock, pricing, and delivery schedules
· Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards and regulatory requirements
· Conduct routine inspections to maintain site safety, cleanliness, and equipment functionality
2. Staff Leadership & Development
· Recruit, train, and supervise site employees, including dispatchers, drivers, and yard attendants
· Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations
· Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of safety and service excellence
· Manage staff schedules, payroll submissions, and compliance with HR policies
3. Customer Service & Relationship Management
· Ensure exceptional service delivery and address customer complaints promptly
· Maintain strong community and business relationships to enhance the company’s image
4. Compliance & Reporting
· Ensure adherence to all oil and gas regulatory requirements
· Prepare and submit periodic operational reports to head office
· Monitor compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental laws
· Conduct safety drills, audits, and risk assessments regularly
Education and Experience
Preferred 5+ years of experience in retail or oil and gas operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (We are willing to train the right candidate)
Skills and Knowledge
· Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
· Strong understanding of petroleum retail operations, product handling, and safety procedures
· Proficiency in MS Office
· Strong leadership and decision-making ability
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Financial and operational management knowledge
· High attention to safety and regulatory compliance
